This explains what personal data Creative Techniques L.T.D collects, why, and what your rights are. This policy covers both our SaaS platform (WrapApp) and our standalone mobile applications.
This Privacy Policy applies to all mobile applications developed, owned, and operated by Creative Techniques L.T.D. This includes, but is not limited to, the following applications available on platforms like Google Play and Aptoide:
For these standalone mobile applications, we prioritize your privacy. These apps do not sell your personal data. Any permissions requested (such as access to photos for uploading documents or profile pictures) are used strictly on-device to facilitate core app features (like WebView file uploads) and are not transmitted to our servers unless explicitly required for a specific, user-initiated feature.
Each of our apps also has its own privacy policy, which says what that app keeps on your phone, what it sends to us or to an AI provider, which permissions it needs and why. They are listed on our About page.
These apps are published by Creative Techniques L.T.D. (Company No. 06369115), Nottingham, United Kingdom. Website: wrap-app.co.uk. Contact: info@creativetechniques.org.
Document Upload QnA Pro. The documents you add and your document library are kept on your device. When you ask an AI question, the question and the short passages from your documents that relate to it are sent to our server, which passes them to an AI provider (see section 3) to produce an answer. We do not save those passages or your question in our database. A WrapApp account (email and a hashed password) is needed to unlock Pro, so the purchase can be checked and restored on a new phone. Payments are handled by the store you bought from (Google Play, Aptoide) or by Stripe.
Location Switcher Pro. The app asks for Android's location permission so it can show a notification while a chosen position is active and show you what your phone currently reports. Your real location is never uploaded and never leaves your device. The places you choose, your recent places and your favourites are stored only on your device. When you search for a place, the words you type are sent to our server, which asks the OpenStreetMap search service (Nominatim) and returns the result. We keep a search result for up to 24 hours in memory so the same search is not repeated; it is not linked to your account. Your internet address is used briefly to limit how many searches can be made. The app changes only the GPS position that other apps on your phone receive when you switch it on; it does not change your internet address, and you should use it only where doing so is allowed.
Connection Guardian Pro. The app runs in the background with a notification and, at the interval you choose, sends a small request to a public test address (by default Google's connectivity-check address) and, if you enter one, tries to open a connection to your phone-service address. It does this only to find out whether the internet works. Your settings and the outage log (times and short descriptions) stay on your device and are never uploaded. If you turn on the optional accessibility helper, it is used only to open Android's Wi-Fi panel and tap the Wi-Fi switch; it does not read, store or send anything else on your screen. If you enter a router web address, the app calls that address when it restarts the router.
Live Translator Pro. When you tap Start, the app uses the microphone you allowed. The phone's own speech recognition service (normally Google's, or your phone maker's) turns what it hears into text; WrapApp does not receive the audio. Each finished line of text is sent to our server, which passes it to an AI service to translate it and returns the translation; the server does not store the text. The translation is then shown and spoken by your phone's own voice. If you turn on the optional accessibility helper, it reads text another app shows in the lower half of the screen (such as subtitles) only while you are listening, and passes it to the same translation step. It does not store or send anything else on your screen. If you turn on "listen to the sound this phone plays", Android asks you once for permission to capture sound (the app uses only the audio, never the screen picture); short clips of that audio are sent to our server, which passes them to an AI service to write down and translate the speech and returns the text; the server does not store the audio or the text. If you turn on the floating bubble, the app asks for Android's "Display over other apps" permission and shows a bubble and captions on top of other apps while it listens; it does not read or record what those apps show. Your language choices and settings stay on your device.
Bible + Scripture Genius Pro and Reader Pro. Scripture texts and your books are stored on your device and read offline. Your reading position, settings, highlights and notes stay on your device. A WrapApp account is needed only to unlock Pro.
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Email address, password (hashed) | Account creation and login |
| Billing details (handled by Stripe — we don't store card numbers) | Subscription payment |
| Website URLs, app descriptions, uploaded APK/IPA files | To build the app you requested |
| Generated apps, build logs, keystore signing credentials | To deliver, re-sign, and let you update your apps |
| Domain verification tokens | To confirm you own a website before we wrap it |
| Purchase records (which account bought Pro for which app, from which store, and the order reference) | To check and restore a purchase on a new phone |
| Data an app saves to your account when you are signed in (for example cycle entries in Women Cycle Genius Pro, or food preferences and favourites in Food Scan) | To restore it on a new phone; the app's own policy says exactly what it saves |
| Basic usage data (build counts, timestamps, error logs) | Service operation, abuse prevention, quota enforcement |
We don't sell your personal data, and we don't use your uploaded content or descriptions to train AI models beyond what's needed to generate your own app in that session.
Website content, app descriptions, and (for the Clone feature) an abstracted functional summary of uploaded apps are sent to third-party AI providers (currently Anthropic and/or Google Gemini, with an optional self-hosted Ollama fallback) to generate your app. We don't send raw uploaded APK/IPA files to these providers — only the sandboxed functional analysis. See each provider's own privacy policy for how they handle API-submitted data.
If you opt in to "save signing key for updates", your app's private signing key is stored on our servers so future builds can be issued as updates rather than fresh installs. Treat this as sensitive: anyone with access to that key material could sign an app claiming to be yours. We store it server-side, not client-accessible, but no system is unbreakable — see the "no warranty" section of our Terms.
Build files and generated app sites are automatically deleted after a limited retention window (currently 24 hours for a download link, with periodic cleanup of underlying files) unless you've saved a signing key for that app, in which case the keystore is retained to support future updates. Account data is retained while your account is active, and for a reasonable period after closure for legal/accounting purposes.
We don't share your personal data with anyone else except where required by law.
Depending on where you're located, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, including deleting your account and any data saved to it, email info@creativetechniques.org from the address you registered with, or use the Get Help section. We reply and carry out valid requests within 30 days.
We use essential cookies/local storage to keep you logged in and remember your build list. We don't use third-party advertising trackers.
We may update this Privacy Statement from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new "last updated" date.
